In 2011 I undertook to learn to play the drum calls and some of the marches used at the time of the American Revolution. Since that time I have been putting on demonstrations of them on a replica drum and speaking on their history.
In 2016 I did a presentation on the history of black powder and early cannons and mortars using several small, table top models. It was well received and I now use two, one half scale, firing models.
Both are approximately one hour presentations. They are excellent for interested groups, such as D.A.R. Chapters, Libraries, Historical Societies and others with an interest in history. I am also available for day-long events where I will attend and spend time with interested visitors throughout the day. If this sounds like something you would like to schedule for you organization please contact me at Drum History or use the Contact page provided.
